Review: Here Kitty, Kitty!

What's going on everyone!? I had the pleasure of reviewing a fun new family game for Fireside Games called Here Kitty, Kitty! So sit back, put your cat on your lap and check out this fun game with me!

As always, here's an excerpt:
"Your neighborhood has a cat problem! The problem is that all those cats don’t belong to YOU! Everyone in the neighborhood wants to claim those adorable kitties for themselves."

Ok, So the game has a cat theme if you haven't noticed already. It has some wonderful little cat miniatures that come with the game, 40 to be exact. That's right 40 CATS!

To start the game, each player chooses a property dashboard. This has a yard, porch and house on it and you'll be moving neighborhood cats onto the different spaces with the main objective of getting as many as you can into your house.

You'll also have cards that you can play on yourself to help aid in your quest to be a "crazy cat person". There are also cards you can play on the other players, these range from making them move their own cats to other areas or back to the neighborhood as well as allowing you to STEAL their cats at times.

As I said, the main objective is to have the most cats. This may sound easy but you have to remember, the other players can also play cards on you! Each player has a hand of 3 cards unless otherwise stated by a card you play.

Once the last card is drawn, all the players count up their cats and the one with the most points wins! There are different point values for different situations. For example, any cats on your yard are 0 points, cats on your porch are worth 3 points each and cats in your house are worth 5 points each!

In addition to these points, you can also earn more points if you meet the other various criteria such as, 1 of each color cat in your house, ALL of the same color cats in your house, 5 cats or more in your house as well as a few others that I've not mentioned.

On to my opinion of the game:
Game Art: The art for this game, as with nearly ALL Fireside games, is beautiful and fitting to the theme. It's playful and a bit of a "cartoony" look which is nice and really does fit the theme and game play.

Gameplay: The game play is fast and furr-ious. The rounds go quickly and there is a lot of fun to be had. From placing or moving cats to stealing them, it's nothing but pure fun through and through!

Game Quality:  Again, As with nearly ALL Fireside Games this one is no exception to great quality. There are 4 different cat sculpts for each color and they are all great. They give you the fun and playful feel of the game and are made of a sort of rubbery/flexible plastic as opposed to a brittle plastic. The cards are of good quality as well. Little to no bending in them which means this game can be enjoyed over and over again with little wear. The Property boards could have been a bit thicker but they're perfectly fine. They're a slim card board but the print is nice and crisp. Think of maybe 2 cards thick for them.

So, Should you buy this game? YES! Not only is this game a GREAT family game in general, the cat theme is purr-fect for any cat lover or gamer that is new or old to board gaming. Be sure to check it out and grab a copy for yourself or that special "Crazy Cat Person" in your life!
