More of the same

What's going on everyone!?

Today I played some Carcassonne with Sam and then a game of Star Realms. I ended up losing both games but they were VERY close losses.

Cards and dice

What's going on everyone!?

Today was yet another busy day. After a bunch of running around to appointments I finally got home in the evening and had just enough time to play a couple games of Sushi Go and Left Center Right.

Still going!

What's going on everyone!?

I'm very sorry for the silence. A Lot is going on right now with doctors appointments and injections, surgery and more. Yesterday we picked up our son from the airport so it was late when we got in.

Although I'm still playing 2 games every day it's not very exciting right now as it mostly consists of star realms and Carcassonne, lol.

Moar Stars!

What's going on everyone!?

Today has been yet another long day and I'm drained. I did play a couple of games of star realms today with different people online though. Ended up losing both games horribly and even lost a 3rd game because my darn tablet died.

Coins and Rivers!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge Sam and I played some games with a bit of area control in common with each other in a way.

First up was Carcassonne. My lovely wife annihilated me scoring around 50 points more than me!

Next up was a little coinage! This is a micro game with area control and played with change. I ended up winning this one but as usual, I love the time spent and memories made.

Sleepy Stars

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge I played a couple of different matches of Star Realms on my tablet. Unfortunately the battery died just a minute or two ago so I can't upload any pictures.

The reason for playing the game multiple times was because we've had a very busy day and I'm not only tired but also very sore from a lot of travelling today. I hate that I feel this way but it's something that I have to live with and don't take it easily.

Tomorrow I think we're going to have some time to actually sit down together and play some fun games. Next week I should have a few more videos up as well!

Heroes and Stars!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge Sam and I played some Star Realms and Hero Realms!

First up was Star Realms and it was a blast. It was a great time and my lovely wife beat the crap out of me. Just when I thought it was all over I ended up taking the win!

Next up was Hero Realms. I have to say that this is probably my favorite of the "Realms". After a furious battle for my wife to gain back her win streak I ended up taking home the win for this one as well!

The beach borders!

What's going on everyone!?

Today was just as tiring as yesterday, a little more so actually. Sam had to work later than usual so I spent the entire day with baby Z. There were laughs, tears and a bunch of unhappy baby moments when she didn't want to take a nap.

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge we played some Zombie Island and Yahtzee.

First up was Zombie Island. Unfortunately I didn't get out alive but dear ol'pops and Sam did.

After that, Sam and Z headed to bed since it was late enough so dear ol'pops, Trinity and I played some Borderlands Yahtzee. Surprisingly I took the win but Trinity was only 4 points behind!

Very tired but played some carcassone and more ticket to ride on the tablet with dear ol' pops. I'll update this entry tomorrow to make it look more "official" like the others. Right now I'm off to bed though. Very sorry for the delay. -Tim

Getting KILLED

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge we played a great game of 4 player Kill Doctor Lucky! It was a fun game and yet again my lovely wife won!

Next up I played a game of Ticket to Ride with dear ol' pops on the tablet. It was a fun game and one I've not played in a while on there. That would end up being proved by the 100 point lead he had on me for the win!

As always, thank you very much for reading and don't forget to stop and smell the meeples! :)

TV Tray Game Day

What's going on everyone!?

I was finally able to get some pics uploaded thanks to my lovely wife! Tonight was a sort of "TV Tray Game Day" since we did so much running around all day with appointments and all that fun stuff. We were(and I still am) exhausted so I decided on two very simple games that we know by heart that don't take long and are fun to play.

There are also a lot of other games that fill this category but I honestly grabbed the two closest ones I could find since my mint tin games are in the car, lol.

First up was Kings in the Corner which is a fun little game and I have to say, it will be hitting the table more this year as it's a blast to play! Some how I ended up winning this game which is a complete surprise to me.

Although, before I could get TOO comfortable with winning, my lovely wife KILLED me in a game of Star Realms! It was a fun game, and like with most, one that I thought was going in my favor but we already know how that turned out, lol!

Dragons! Dragons everywhere!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I played some Dungeon Roll! It was a great time and everyone seemed to get such great rolls which set the bar high. In then end, my lovely wife scored 29 for the win!

Next up we played a 2 player game of dominoes with my double 9's Dragon set from 1970! It was yet another great time spent and as soon as I thought I would win it, my lovley wife ends up taking the win!

I'm still working on pictures and a way to post them but I should have them uploaded tonight or in the morning for this post. I've got to take them with my wife's cell phone, then send them to me, THEN download them on the pc and finally upload them on here. So as you can imagine it's a bit of a pain but I feel that's like 70% of my post is the pictures I share!

Technical Difficulties!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I played some Kill Doctor Lucky and SLAMWICH!

First up was Kill Doctor Lucky and what a lovely game this is. I first became aware of this game at a board game meet in Lexington 3 years ago now. From the beginning I was hooked and this was a game I KNEW my wife would love.

Tonight was no different, we had a blast playing the Deluxe 19.5th Anniversary Edition and after chasing him around the house a few times my lovely wife was the one who ended up catching him alone and killing him! Maybe I need to learn from Lucky! lol!

Next up was SLAMWICH! This is a sort of slapjack game but with awesome sandwich cards! Turns out my lovely wife won this one as well!

Now the sad news. One of the main camera's that I've been using for quite a while is acting up and will not connect with the PC so I can post pics on here. Because of this I don't have any pictures to show right now but I will be working on a remedy asap.

This very reason is why I have a patreon page and sell on Etsy, to try and raise money for better equipment and to improve the quality of the media that I provide.

If you'd like to consider helping to support your kind ol' kentucky bored gamer you can do so on Patreon, Paypal or by purchasing something from me on my Etsy Shop. I'll list the places below.

A Blue Day

Blue Orange that is! :P

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge I picked out two games from Blue Orange that were perfect to play on a TV tray in the livingroom to make it easier on my lovely wife with the baby.

First up was Gobblet which was a fun time. Unfortunately, I got my butt handed to me as my lovely wife won 2 out of 3 matches.

Next up was Wakanda which is a fun totem pole building game. It's got some strategy to it which is nice but it's also just an easy fun game. As you can see, Zelda seemed to like the totems!

FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

 What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge I got to play yet another one of my favorites, FLASH POINT: Fire Rescue! It was a great time and we actually had FOUR players for the first time ever with this game!

After some awesome teamwork and great leadership by my lovely wife we were able to rescue all POI's that we needed to and had NO CASUALTIES! :D

Next up, everyone vanished like they've been doing after the first game for what seems like the entire year so I just decided to play some Star Realms online with a random player.

I'm happy to report that I got my first win for the year! LOL!

Go Sports!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge I picked out two sports themed games since it was just going to be dear ol' pops and I.

First up was a "vintage" baseball game that I had picked up sometime last year I think it was. It was a very fun time playing it surprisingly enough and dear ol' dad won the game 8 - 12.

Next up was a vintage football game that I have the pleasure of owning. An original from 1979 and still in pretty good shape. This game was a real nail biter though! In the end dear ol' pops won this one as well but by only ONE point by the time the last quarter ended with the score being 20 - 21!

Light hearted fun!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge I picked some games that are always fun when they hit the table!

First up was Isle of Monsters. This was played 3 players with my lovely wife, dear ol' pops and I. It was a fun and furious game for the points and monsters but in the end I was victorious with a 10 point lead!

Next up was a family favorite, Tsuro! This game is another one of those games that you have fun playing every time. Somehow I managed to snag the win on this game as well but I truly felt bad when I made my wife go out. :/

Old is just as good!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge I decided to play some games that show a little age to them but are still great family games!

First up was Kings in the Corner. Admittadly I had never heard of this one but my wife used to play it as a child. After a quick telling of the basics we were off and playing. I don't know if she was just being nice or what but I ended up winning 2 out of 3 gams right off the bat!

Next up was another thrift store find and yet another game I had not played. I played this one solo though because the baby had woken up after a long nap and was very hungry!

By the time it was over I did progressively worse in each game going from 27 to 25 to 23 for the last game. It's a fun little time killer but other than playing it in a pinch I don't know how much it'll hit the table.

Time on the Ganges!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day we taught Trinity how to play one game and then my lovely wife and I went head to head in a game like mahjong on speed!

First up was Rajas of the Ganges. We taught trinity this one and we all had a lot of fun. It was wonderful to get Trinity interested in a game with this much going on. She really took to it and came out in second place!

You know it's a good game session when someone stands up!

Next up was a game called Turtle Mania which is like mahjong on speed! Seriously! You have to go head to head taking pairs of tiles simultaniously all while trying not to take WRONG matches. In the end, the game was a fast 5 minutes and I would definitely play this one again with her. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be!

Quick Family Fun

What's going on everyone!

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge I decided to pic two games that are both on the lighter side.

First up was Double Double Dominoes. It was our daughters first time playing this one but she seemed to like it rather well so I'll definitely put that in the pile of games to include her in, lol!

My lovely wife ended up taking the win in this one by a landslide!

Next up was a rather quick and simple dice game because the baby was ready for bed and not a happy camper. My lovely wife ended up taking the win in this game as well by being the last one standing!

Water, Water Everywhere!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge we finished lastnights game and played another one with a watery theme! On top of that, I made my tater tot pizza's for the Superbowl AND the team I picked actually won!!! (I would like to note that I'm neither for nor against either team, I just chose the opposite of dear ol' pops for a little friendly rivalry)

As I mentioned, we finished up our play of Rajas of the Ganges first. This game was a blast to play and I honestly can not wait to get it back to the table soon! Surprisingly, I had actually won this one!

After finishing up that one I prepared dinner for the "big game" and we dined on that plus some snacks throughout the rest of the game as well.

After that, dear ol' pops and I played a quick game of Mint Tin Pirates before bed. It was a pretty close game and I seriously thought I was going to lose but in the end, for whatever reason, the dice gods granted me yet another win for today!

Rivers, they're everywhere!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the 2x Game a Day Challenge we got two games to the table that had something to do with rivers!

First up was Rajas of the Ganges and what a BEAUTIFUL game this one is! The artwork is done very well on this one! This was our first game of it and we had to put it on pause 2/3 of the way through the game because we started late which meant that it was already getting too late for my lovely wife so we'll have to pick up part 2 of this game tomorrow when she gets home. :)

Next up and because the table was occupied, dear ol' pops and I played a game of Carcassonne on our tablets. I took screenshots of the end of the game as well as the ones below but for some reason they didn't save.

The game was a close one with us staying neck and neck throughout the entire game really. In the end, I won but dear ol' pops put up a good fight and made sure it wasn't by much! :)
