The 2016 #gameaday Finale!!!

What's going on everyone!? Well we've finally gotten here, the last day of the #gameaday challenge... It's a bitter sweet feeling really. In one way, I'm glad to say that I have succeeded. On the other hand, I was using this as a coping mechanism for my depression as well as other things and most importantly it made us as a family connect on a personal level nearly every day.

In the end, I'm completely glad I came up with this challenge and eagerly await someone as crazy or crazier than me to take the challenge for themselves.

This evening we played Pandemic for the game a day challenge and unfortunately we didn't quite make it. CLOSE but didn't make it...

Here are some pics from tonight's session:

I also decided to put this short video together to celebrate the occasion so please feel free to give it a watch and keep an eye out for me in the new year!

What a Dice day it was!

What's going on everyone!? Today marks the 364th day in a row this year that I've played a game! It's hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day for what began almost 1 year ago now.

Today for the game a day challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I played Train Maker and BEARS!

First up was Train Maker and in what seemed like no time at all my lovely wife ran away with the win! This is truly a great little 15 minute dice game with an awesome train theme so be sure to check this one out if you haven't yet.

Next up was BEARS! and if you couldn't guess it, my lovely wife won that one by being the first to 100 points!

So as you can tell, she had a heck of a winning streak tonight. Our beautiful daughter came in second in both games and as you guessed, I came in last but was happy to be playing a game with my family.

Wrong turn at Albuquerque

What's going on everyone!? Today for the game a day challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I played some Forbidden Desert!

It took a crash course to learn again since it's been so long but in no time at all we were searching for the parts and running from the storm!

It seemed like we were able to stay one step ahead and what seemed like no time at all we were able to locate all the missing parts and get the ship repaired and running so we could safely escape!

The sky's the limit!

What's going on everyone!? Today for the game a day challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter, dear ol'pops and I played New York 1901!

It was a great game and in the end a pretty close one too! We all seemed to have a good time and it turns out my lovely wife got first with my beautiful daughter taking second!

Son of a bit... 8 bit that is!

What's going on everyone!? It's slowly sinking in that the game a day challenge is almost at an end. In just 4 more days I'll have successfully played at least ONE GAME EVERY DAY this entire year!

Speaking of, today for the game a day challenge my lovely wife, dear ol'pops and I played some Boss Monster.

It was a very competitive game as my lovely wife tried and succeeded to take me out early in the game. By the time the game was over she has hit the 10 points before dear ol'pops and won!

Smooth sailing!!!

What's going on everyone!? Today was a bit of an off day for some reason... It started out seemingly calm and nice. Warm weather perfect for shorts and tee-shirts but horrible for December, lol.

Anyway, as we are now winding down to a mere 5 days left for my #gameaday challenge, tonight we played Tsuro of the seas!

Dear ol'pops was first to go with myself getting eaten by a damn dragon..Lol. Lol

Then it was down to my lovely wife and beautiful daughter. After  couple of the most tense moves, Trinity walked away the winner!!!

Fantastic Fighting!

I hope everyone has been having a wonderful Christmas Day filled with tons of games and laughter.

Today for the game a day challenge my lovely wife, dear ol' pops and I played a great new game from White Wizard Games called Hero Realms! It was a blast of a game to play and was a pleasure dealing damage between the three of us!

In the end it was my lovely wife who fearlessly took out both my champions as well as dear ol' pop's.

On top of that I also spent the lonely part of the day with my beautiful daughter watching It's a Wonderful Life as well as Elf and of course A Christmas Story while my lovely wife was at work.

On top of that I felt the need to paint one of the Leg Lamp minis I've got from the horrid Christmas Story Board Game.

Spacetime Beatdown!

What's going on everyone!? Today has been a pretty weird day around here. Not sure what the deal is but being christmas eve is definitely a bit odd with the weather and such.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Today my lovely wife had the misfortune of working a double and has to work tomorrow morning as well so it was a pretty lonely day. I was hoping to have her read off her top 5 list on the podcast tonight but she had to quite literally come home, change and get ready for bed and then go to sleep because she has to get up in mere hours to work christmas day.

Tonight for the game a day challenge I decided to try my hand at Star Realms Mobile.

As good of a game as it was my opponent was just in far better positions than I. Such are the cards sometimes. It was still great fun!
